Are You Prepared To?
Take full responsibility for this dog and all its needs for the next 10 to 15 yrs? This is not a task that should be left to children.
Invest the time, money and patience that it takes to train a puppy to be a good companion?
Always keep your dog/puppy safe. (there should be no running loose unsupervised, being chained outside, jumping off decks or couches, and being dropped or handled by young children unsupervised)
Make sure the dogs gets enough attention and exercise? (Labradors puppies need to get several hours of both everyday)
Live with shedding for the life of your pet
Spend the money it takes to provide proper veterinary care including but certainly not limited to: vaccines, heartworm testing and preventative,
spaying or neutering and annual check ups?
Become educated about proper care of the breed, correct training methods and how to groom? There are a few books we recommend you do read.
Keep the breeder informed and up to date on the dogs accomplishments and problems?
Take your questions to the breeder or other another professional before they become problems that are out of hand?
Have patience to enjoy the trials of Labrador puppyhood, which can last some time.. And each stage there afterward?
Continue to accept responsibility for the dog despite inevitable life changes such as new babies, kids going off to school, moving, or
returning to work?
Resist impulse buying, and instead have the patience to make a responsible choice, You will be glad you did!
If you answered yes to all of these questions, please contact us for your new family member!!!
